It’s that time of the year again when it’s an all out effort to put up the Christmas decorations. Today is the day to see how much I can get done. Hopefully, by the end of the day it will look a lot like Christmas at our house.
What are you doing for decorations this year? Are you putting up outside decorations? Do you put up a Christmas tree and if so, do you have a live Christmas tree or an artificial tree?
Here are my answers to these questions:
What are you doing for decorations this year? Yes, the whole house will be decorated.
Are you putting up outside decorations? The roof is outlined with red and the eaves have icicle lights with a red row of lights on top. The 6 palm trees are decorated with red mini lights from the bottom to the top and green mini lights at the top of the trees. Then green mini lights are flung into the palm branches and the wind determines how they look for the most part. Then I have lighted candy canes that line the flower bed with green mini lights lining the path of the flower bed. There is a Manger, Angel, Santa’s Sleigh and a Reindeer, Snowman, trees and bushes with lights. It is a major production and takes me a few days to complete.
Do you put up a Christmas tree and if so, do you have a live Christmas tree or an artificial tree? Yes. In the past we have had live trees and artificial trees. This year I am still thinking about whether to do a live tree. I absolutely love the smell of a live tree, but am not so keen on the needles that fall or the fact that it might not make it to Christmas since I know they were cut so early. I have an artificial tree that I put up every year. It really is beautiful when it is done with all the ornaments we have collected over the years. It is old though and I have to see what shape it is in this year. I guess the answer to these questions is I will decide soon.
and from our house to your house… Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
